Dr.Hisham Afaneh

Dr. Hisham Afaneh is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist and Addiction Treatment Specialist with more than 35 years of clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions in adults, children, and adolescents.

He is Jordanian Board Certified in Psychiatry and began his medical career in Jordan before building extensive professional experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During his career, he held several specialist and consultant positions, including Consultant Psychiatrist and Head of the Psychiatry Department at Najran Armed Forces Hospital. He also served as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Najran Specialist Hospital and previously worked at the National Center for Mental Health in Fuheis, Jordan.

Throughout his career, Dr. Afaneh has provided specialized psychiatric care for a broad range of mental health conditions, with a focus on comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment planning. His clinical expertise includes the management of depression and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, sleep disorders, stress-related conditions, as well as addiction and substance dependence.

Dr. Afaneh follows a patient-centered approach that emphasizes careful listening, understanding each patient's needs, and providing appropriate psychiatric assessment and follow-up. His clinical practice includes medication management, long-term follow-up, and individualized treatment plans based on each patient's condition and needs.

He also has experience in psychiatric consultations and assessments, chronic mental health conditions, behavioral and psychological disorders in children and adolescents, and family counseling.
